UAE has introduced stricter fines for 10 weather-related traffic violations, resulting in fines up to Dh2,000 and 23 black points, along with a 60-day vehicle confiscation for offenders.

If you drive dangerously during bad weather, you may face a fine of Dh2,000, along with 23 black points and a 60-day vehicle confiscation.

Fleeing from the police

If a policeman asks a motorist to stop and they attempt to flee, they may face an Dh800 fine and 12 black points.

Gathering near hazardous areas

Gathering near valleys, flooded areas, and dams during rainy weather can lead to a Dh1,000 fine and six black points.

Driving into flooded valleys

Driving into flooded valleys, regardless of danger, may result in a Dh2,000 fine, 23 black points, and a 60-day vehicle confiscation.

Obstructing emergency vehicles

Obstructing traffic regulators, ambulance, and rescue vehicles during emergencies, disasters, and rains may lead to a Dh1,000 fine, four black points, and a 60-day vehicle confiscation.

These stricter penalties are subjected to ensure road safety during adverse weather conditions and discouraging hazardous driving behaviors that can pose a threat to both the driver and others on the road.
