The UAE’s telecommunications authority recently announced a range of new privileges, including a 50% discount on mobile and Internet plans, specifically designed for people of determination.
Both Etisalat and Du are rolling out this special offer, based on advisories from the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
Under Etisalat, people of determination will enjoy a 50% discount on the following services:
- Monthly plans for the new Freedom and Emirati Freedom package
- Monthly package rentals for eLife Family Value Pack (TV, Internet, and telephone)
- Monthly packages for home telephone
- Select prepaid mobile data packages, including one-time and recurring data packs
- Monthly plans for 512Kbps, 1Mbps, and 10Mbps home Internet packages
- Free subscription to Internet calling for mobiles and eLife plans
For Du users, people of determination will benefit from 50% off on the following:
- Postpaid Smart plan
- Postpaid Emirati plan
- Postpaid Power plan
Additionally, Du’s prepaid plan users will receive extra perks. Every recharge will grant them 100% of the amount as bonus credits, which can be used for national and international calls. Please note that some plans are not eligible for the discount, including the Special Power Plan 500, Special Power Plan 500 Data, and Special Power Plan 1000.
