In the fourth T20I match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Christchurch, Pakistan set a target of 159 runs for New Zealand with a loss of five wickets. Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan played a crucial innings, scoring an unbeaten 90 runs in 63 balls. Mohammad Nawaz also contributed with a quick 21 runs, including three consecutive sixes off pacer Adam Milne.
Babar Azam scored 19 runs and had a partnership of 51 runs with Rizwan for the second wicket. Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry took two wickets each for New Zealand. Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan made one change, bringing in Sahibzada Farhan for Azam Khan.
New Zealand faced challenges as opener Devon Conway was ruled out due to testing positive for Covid-19. Chad Bowes joined the squad as cover for Conway, who will be monitored for the final match.
Bowling coach Andre Adams also tested positive for Covid. Spinner Mitch Santner led the New Zealand team in the absence of the injured regular skipper Kane Williamson. Adam Milne played his 50th T20 international, replacing Ish Sodhi, and Will Young came in for Conway.
