Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), is planning to make a speech celebrating their victory once all the final election results are announced. Maryam Nawaz, another leader from the party, mentioned that PML-N is expected to become the largest party in both the central government and the province of Punjab.
The party is currently waiting for the remaining results to come in. Once all the results are confirmed, they will gather at the PML-N headquarters to hear Nawaz Sharif’s speech. Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar, a member of PML-N, stated that independent candidates who have won in the elections are in discussions with their party.
According to the Constitution, these independent candidates have 72 hours to decide whether they want to join a political party. This means they have some time to make their decision before officially affiliating themselves with a party.
