Saudi Arabia has generously donated 100 tons of dates to Pakistan ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, a significant period for Muslims worldwide. During Ramadan, Muslims observe fasting, refraining from eating or drinking from sunrise to sunset, as an act of devotion and self-discipline. The month commences with the sighting of the new moon and culminates in the joyous celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.
The Saudi embassy conveyed this benevolent gesture, expressing the happiness of Saudi Arabia in providing this aid to Pakistan. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud recommended this generous donation, highlighting the importance of solidarity and support among Muslim nations.
The presentation ceremony took place in Islamabad, where Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki and Abdullah Al-Baqami from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center officially handed over the dates.
