Indus Motor Company, known for producing Toyota cars in Pakistan, has recently announced a significant reduction in the prices of its Yaris sedan lineup. The price cuts range from Rs73,000 to Rs133,000 across various models.
For instance, the 1.3 MT LO, 1.3 CVT LO, and 1.3 MT Hi variants will now be available at Rs4.326 million, Rs4.616 million, and Rs4.586 million, respectively, representing a reduction of Rs73,000 for each model.
Similarly, the price of the Yaris CVT Hi has been slashed by Rs133,000, resulting in a new price tag of Rs4.766 million. This decision comes in response to the recent increase in the sales tax on automobiles priced above Rs4 million, which has been raised to 25%. As a result of these price adjustments, Yaris cars will now fall within the 18% sales tax bracket.
