The Bureau of Statistics recently shared some numbers about how much laborers earn each day in different parts of the country. They found out that, on average, a laborer makes about Rs. 1134 every day.
In big cities like Islamabad and Rawalpindi, laborers get paid the most, with Rs. 1500 per day. But in places like Larkana, the daily wage is lower, at Rs. 800.
Other cities have different daily wages too. In Quetta, laborers make around Rs. 1441 each day. In Gujranwala and Faisalabad, it’s about Rs. 1200. Peshawar pays around Rs. 1000 per day, while Bannu gives Rs. 900. In Bahawalpur and Multan, it’s Rs. 900 and Rs. 932 respectively.
The data also shows that painters earn about Rs. 1601 each day, plumbers make Rs. 1659, and masons bring in the highest with an average of Rs. 1831 per day.
