Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has shared exciting news about improving the People’s Bus Service in Karachi. He mentioned plans to introduce an automated system on two bus routes next month, making travel easier for passengers. These changes will also allow prepaid cards to work on the Green Line and Orange Line buses. Minister Memon hopes to expand this system to all routes soon.
He emphasized how convenient this will be for passengers, who can use the same prepaid cards on different buses. Additionally, he announced the upcoming launch of the People’s Bus Service in Mirpurkhas.
Minister Memon also revealed plans to add more buses to Karachi’s fleet after Eid-ul-Fitr, including electric buses for two new routes. With over 100,000 people using the People’s Bus Service daily, efforts are ongoing to improve public transport in the region.
