Defence Minister Khawaja Asif recently shared his optimism regarding the potential for enhanced bilateral relations between Pakistan and India. He expressed hope that once India completes its upcoming election phase, scheduled to commence on April 19 and conclude in June, there could be opportunities for positive developments.
Pakistan and India have a longstanding history of strained relations, primarily stemming from the dispute over Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). This unresolved issue has led to various conflicts and tensions between the two neighboring countries over the years.
