Scotland’s first minister, Humza Yousaf, might leave his position soon, but he’s determined to stay strong and face the challenge of a vote that might kick him out of office.
Originally from Mian Channu town in Punjab, Pakistan, Yousaf has tried to make things right with the Scottish Greens, but he’s dealing with a lot of problems.
At just 39 years old, Yousaf is going through a big political crisis after the Scottish National Party and the Scottish Green Party ended their partnership. They’ve been working together for three years, but things aren’t going well between them now.
Even though things look tough for him, Yousaf believes he can still win the vote and hopes the Scottish Greens will change their minds.
Some people say Yousaf is not as strong a leader as he used to be, but he’s still determined to lead the SNP in future elections. Since the partnership fell apart, he plans to run a government with fewer members, which means he’ll need help from other political parties to pass laws.
