He talked about how well the team did despite facing challenges and said he believes they’ll win more games in the future. Similarly, Shaheen Shah Afridi praised the hockey team for not losing any games before the final and asked for ongoing support and appreciation for their representation of Pakistan on the global stage.
In the final match, Japan won the shootout, taking the title after the teams tied 2-2 in regular time. Even though they lost, Pakistan reaching the final was a big achievement since it was their first time in 13 years.
