President Asif Ali Zardari has awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) to General Li Qiaoming, the Commander of the Ground Forces of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA), in recognition of his outstanding efforts in strengthening the defense ties between China and Pakistan.
The prestigious award was given during a special ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, which was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, senior military leaders, diplomats, and lawmakers.
General Li Qiaoming was honored for his remarkable leadership and dedication throughout his 40-year career in the Chinese military. His exceptional skills, loyalty, and strategic vision have played a significant role in deepening the military partnership between China and Pakistan.
