Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced on Wednesday a significant plan to outsource 14,000 public schools in order to improve the quality of education across the province. Speaking at an event in Lahore, she praised the efforts of the education ministry and emphasized the need for public-private partnerships to address ongoing challenges in the education sector.
She stressed that these collaborations are essential for delivering better educational services to students and ensuring that schools can meet modern standards.
During her speech, CM Maryam also criticized the previous government, accusing them of embezzling Rs1 billion from the Punjab Text Book Board. She called for a formal corruption case to be filed against the former education minister, holding them accountable for the misuse of funds.
Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her government’s dedication to bringing about real change in the education system. “We are determined to reform and transform education in Punjab,” she said, promising that her administration would continue to prioritize education reforms for the benefit of future generations.
