Pakistan’s left-handed batter, Fakhar Zaman, may be stepping away from international cricket due to what he views as inconsistent selection standards PCB. Sources suggest that fitness was highlighted as the official reason for Fakhar’s exclusion. PCB chair Mohsin Naqvi recently stated in a press conference that Fakhar’s current fitness level did not meet the board’s standards. However, he acknowledged that other factors also influenced the decision, including a social media post from Fakhar supporting captain Babar Azam—a move which, according to Naqvi, complicated the matter.

In another shift, Pakistan’s white-ball coach Gary Kirsten resigned, reportedly due to differences with PCB regarding the selection and contract process. Jason Gillespie, the former Australian fast bowler, has since been appointed as the head coach for Pakistan’s Australia tour, where the team is set to play three ODIs and three T20Is.
