The 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, also known as Airshow China 2024, opened on Tuesday in Zhuhai, located in Guangdong Province, South China. This prestigious event, one of the world’s top five air shows, is set to highlight China’s latest advancements in aerospace and defense technology. This year’s exhibition has reached a record scale, featuring 1,022 companies from 47 different countries and regions, making it the largest in the show’s history.
A key highlight of the opening day was the highly anticipated debut of China’s J-35A stealth fighter. The J-35A, a medium-sized, multi-role stealth aircraft, made a powerful impression with a five-minute aerial demonstration that captured the attention of the global audience. According to Xinhua News Agency, the J-35A is designed for versatile missions, including air combat, ground strikes, and maritime operations, making it a crucial asset for China’s defense forces. Together with the J-20 stealth fighter, the J-35A brings a combination of air superiority and multi-role functionality, which significantly boosts the Chinese Air Force’s capability to operate effectively in high-risk environments.
This exhibition provides a platform not only for showcasing China’s own innovations but also for engaging with the global aerospace community, as the country continues to strengthen its position in the international defense and technology landscape.
