The Sindh Education Department has finalized the exam schedule for matriculation and intermediate students for the academic year 2025. A meeting of the department’s steering committee resulted in key decisions regarding exam dates, result announcements, and the start of the new academic year.
Exam Dates and Results
Matriculation exams for 9th and 10th grades will begin on March 15, 2025. Meanwhile, intermediate exams for 11th and 12th grades are scheduled to commence on April 15, 2025. To ensure timely academic progression, matric results are set to be announced by July 15, while intermediate results will follow on August 15.
Academic Year Plans
The committee decided that the school academic year will start on April 1, 2025. Colleges will kick off their academic sessions later in the year, beginning on August 1, 2025.
Holiday Schedule
Winter and summer vacations will follow the same pattern as in previous years. Summer break will run from June 1 to July 31, while winter holidays are slated for December 22 to December 31.
Public Holidays in 2025
In addition to academic plans, the schedule for public holidays in Pakistan was also shared. Students and educators can plan around significant dates such as Eid-ul-Fitr (March 31 to April 3), Eid-ul-Azha (June 6-7), and Independence Day (August 14). Other holidays include Pakistan Day on March 23, Labour Day on May 1, and Quaid-e-Azam Day on December 25.
With this clear timeline in place, the Sindh Education Department aims to maintain a smooth academic flow for students and teachers alike. These steps are designed to keep the education system on track while accommodating important holidays and seasonal breaks.
