The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced an exciting initiative to export skilled Pakistani pilots to international airlines. This move comes in response to a growing shortage of cockpit pilots in the region and aims to address the global demand for experienced aviation professionals.
Pakistan’s aviation industry has been training more pilots than the local airlines currently need. To utilize this surplus talent, the CAA is connecting Pakistani pilots with foreign airlines seeking trained professionals. So far, two international companies have shown interest, with one already beginning the first phase of ground training for the pilots.
Pakistani pilots are also receiving advanced flight training in Sharjah, and several have already secured positions with private airlines abroad. This initiative not only supports the global aviation industry but also strengthens Pakistan’s reputation for providing highly skilled pilots.
Additionally, the program includes opportunities for comprehensive pilot training and financing options to make this career path more accessible to aspiring aviators. By promoting and exporting local talent, the CAA hopes to elevate the country’s aviation industry on an international level.
