Canadian photographer Steven Haining and model Ciara Antowski have achieved an incredible feat by setting a new Guinness World Record for the deepest underwater photoshoot, reaching a depth of 163 feet.
This remarkable photoshoot took place at the Hydro Atlantic shipwreck off the coast of Florida. The team ventured beyond the decompression zone, which added to the challenges of the project. Despite the risks involved, including the dangers of deep-water diving and extremely cold temperatures, the team persevered to create something extraordinary.
Ciara, the model, displayed incredible courage as she posed underwater without using an oxygen tank. The entire team, which included diving and safety professionals, worked together to ensure the photoshoot was both safe and successful. Along the way, they faced additional obstacles, such as Ciara being stung by a jellyfish. However, their determination paid off, and the session produced breathtaking images that captured the beauty and mystery of the underwater world.
