The app uses GIS technology to help users find legal petrol pumps across the country. It also allows users to report unlicensed fuel stations, making it easier to address issues like overpricing and low-quality fuel. This initiative improves transparency and gives both consumers and authorities better control over fuel-related concerns.
The app was officially launched in Islamabad and is part of a larger plan to digitize the oil sector. By introducing this system, the government aims to reduce economic losses, enhance accountability, and ensure fair practices in the oil industry.
‘Raahguzar’ is the first phase of a broader track-and-trace system designed to improve regulatory oversight. It empowers consumers by providing reliable information and makes it harder for illegal outlets to operate.
This initiative is seen as a major step forward in modernizing Pakistan’s oil supply chain and promoting fair business practices. With its focus on digital solutions, the app aims to create a more efficient and transparent system that benefits everyone, from consumers to industry stakeholders.
