Over the next few years, more than 1,700 homes will be built for Emiratis in two areas of Abu Dhabi city. The new residential developments in West Baniyas and Al Samha will include mosques, gardens, and shops. The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority announced the project in response to a growing population and economic growth in Abu Dhabi, aiming to develop integrated and sustainable housing communities that meet the needs of citizens.
The project is valued at Dh7 billion ($1.9 billion) and will involve the construction of 1,742 residential villas across the two locations. The West Baniyas project will consist of 1,500 residential villas, public facilities, services, eight mosques, and 14 commercial buildings, with an expected completion date by the second quarter of 2027.
The Al Samha project will include 242 residential villas, two mosques, and some shops, with completion scheduled by the end of 2025. The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has signed agreements with Abu Dhabi investment company Q Holding to design and implement both projects.
