A passenger on a flight in South Korea opened an emergency exit door and later explained to the police that he did so because he felt suffocated and wanted to quickly leave the plane as it was about to land.
The incident occurred on an Asiana Airlines flight from Jeju to Daegu, resulting in minor injuries to twelve people when the cabin was filled with air due to the door being opened. The man has been detained by the police in Daegu and may face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty of violating aviation security laws.
According to reports, the 33-year-old passenger mentioned feeling suffocated and stressed after losing his job recently. The police in Daegu have requested a warrant to formally arrest him.
