Sindh Transport & Mass Transit Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has instructed relevant authorities to complete the development of a mobile app for the Peoples Bus Service. This decision was made during a transport department meeting chaired by the minister.
During the meeting, the minister received updates on the bus service’s operations, including new routes, the Intelligent Transport System (ITS), and the establishment of a command & control room. The minister emphasized the need to activate the ITS in all buses of the service.
The mobile app, once developed, will allow citizens to track buses in real-time and make online payments. With the implementation of the ITS in the buses, features such as CCTV cameras, screens, live tracking, and monitoring facilities will also be activated.
In simpler terms, the transport minister has directed the development of a mobile app that will enable citizens to track the Peoples Bus Service in real-time and make payments using their phones. The buses will be equipped with features like CCTV cameras and live tracking for enhanced security and monitoring.
