Pakistan and Belarus have recently signed an important agreement that allows travelers holding red and blue passports to visit each other’s countries without the need for a visa. This agreement was announced by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari of Pakistan and his Belarusian counterpart, Sergei Aleinik. They highlighted the significance of this agreement in strengthening ties and promoting cooperation between the two nations.
During the joint press conference, the foreign ministers discussed various areas of mutual interest, including enhancing economic ties, expanding trade and investment, fostering scientific collaboration, promoting cultural exchanges, and facilitating people-to-people contacts. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister expressed the country’s commitment to maintaining high-level engagements and exchanging visits with Belarus to further enhance their bilateral relationship.
Pakistan already has visa waiver agreements with several countries, ranging from Egypt to Norway and Austria. These agreements allow specific passport holders, such as those with blue (diplomatic) or red (diplomats and others associated with diplomacy) passports, to visit these countries without requiring a visa.
Belarus offers a variety of tourist attractions that showcase its rich history, beautiful landscapes, and cultural heritage. The capital city of Minsk, known for its vibrant atmosphere, and the Brest Fortress, which played a significant role in World War II and now serves as a memorial complex, are popular destinations.
Additionally, UNESCO World Heritage sites like Mir Castle and Nesvizh Castle, Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, Grodno, Polotsk, Braslaw Lakes National Park, and many other sites attract tourists and history enthusiasts. With the visa waiver agreement in place, blue and red passport holders will be able to visit these places more easily and comfortably.
