The renowned Pakistani TV and Film actor, Javed Sheikh expressed an interesting information about him charging only Rs 1 in ‘Om Shanti Om’, on the opportunity to work alongside Shahrukh Khan.
In a recent interview, Javed Sheikh recalled his experience of acting with Shahrukh Khan and Farah khan in the popular Bollywood movie ‘Om Shanti Om’ where the veteran actor played the role of Khan’s father. Javed Sheikh revealed that he was working with Shirish Kunder, Farah Khan’s husband, on a project ‘Jaan-e-Mann’ when he was offered the role.
Upon finalization of the role, when the manager asked Javed Sheikh about remuneration, he decided to not charge any fee out of respect for co-actor stars. Upon insisting, he humorously said he would like to charge only Rs 1 for the project. However, Sheikh was given a generous advance payment which according to the actor exceeded his expectations.
Javed sheikh also shared that Shahrukh Khan advised him to stay in India and look out for more opportunities and how Shahrukh khan helped him with the accommodation in India.
