Automatic MTAG (Motorway Toll Plaza Electronic Toll Collection) Good Balance or Express Lanes have been introduced for MTAG users on motorways.
According to media reports, following this new initiative, now only cash payment is allowed for vehicles without MTAG, with low balance, or without an MTAG tag.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has announced that the helpline for motorways will be free to call.
In the Automatic MTAG lanes, cash or credit card facilities will not be available.
It has been reported that legal action will be taken and heavy fines will be imposed for any violation of the MTAG Good Balance or Express Lanes,
