WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has announced two new changes for its Android version. The update, labeled version 2.23.12.13, was submitted through the Google Play Beta Program and is being rolled out gradually.
The first change is a redesigned keyboard, aimed at improving the user experience. Various elements of the keyboard interface have been redesigned and repositioned. Users will now be able to scroll the keyboard upward and view the emoji list in full-screen.
The second change is the addition of “community settings” to the app. This feature allows community admins to control who can add groups to the community. Initially, only admins have access to this feature, but it can be modified according to their preferences.
These updates are currently available to some beta testers and will be rolled out to more users in the coming weeks. Users can check if they have the new keyboard by opening it. Additionally, there have been rearrangements of the media sharing and emoji keyboard buttons, although not all users have received this update yet.
