Pakistan State Oil Company’s petrol pump station has dedicated a lane only for females by putting on a banner of a female driver with pink coloured decorations symbolizing females only lane.
The initiative received appreciation from citizens for allocating a separate lane for ladies as it would be comfortable for them however, many took the action in a humorous way. While some ladies were happy for having a distinct lane and said that it would save them a lot of time, others claimed that they can wait in a line with everyone else.
While some people referred the action as discrimination, many supported the initiative taken by PSO. The outcomes of the plan however, will determine if having a separate lane for females is beneficial or not.
