Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has compared the excitement of the English FA Cup final to the intense clashes between Pakistan and India in cricket. Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, attended the FA Cup final where Manchester City defeated Manchester United 2-1 to win the trophy.
In a video posted by City’s official Twitter account, Kohli expressed his admiration for the passion of football fans and their strong support for their teams. He also mentioned his interest in Manchester City’s matches, particularly after having a conversation with manager Pep Guardiola. Manchester City is set to face Inter Milan in the final of the UEFA Champions League as they aim to achieve a treble this season.
In another interview, Kohli emphasized that his Indian cricket team should not be underestimated as they prepare to face Australia in the ICC World Test Championship final. He stated that other teams have started to respect India’s performance and expect them to put up a strong fight even in challenging conditions. Kohli believes that the respect element in the India-Australia rivalry has increased after India’s victories against Australia in 2018 and 2019.
