The farewell ceremony of former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Khan Afridi’s elder daughter Aqsa took place in Karachi on Friday night. Shahid Afridi released the pictures of his daughter’s departure on Twitter.
Shahid Afridi’s elder daughter Aqsa Afridi got married to Naseer in a grand ceremony at a local hall in Karachi. Mehendi was also performed in the ceremony, after which Aqsa got ready for her departure.
Aqsa and Naseer were married in December last year, while the other daughter, Insha and Shaheen Afridi, are also married, and their departure ceremony will take place this year.
Shahid Afridi shared pictures of his daughter’s departure on Twitter and wrote, ‘My dear daughter, it still seems like yesterday, when I held you in my arms for the first time, and that day I promised myself that I would never leave you alone’.
“Though you are about to start a new chapter in your life, you will always be in my heart because I am the man who loved you first,” the former captain.
Shahid Khan Afridi said in a message for his daughter and son-in-law, ‘May Allah keep you both safe and give you a chance to live a beautiful life together. Ameen’.
