In a devastating incident that occurred between Shahzadpur and Nawabshah, at least 15 people tragically lost their lives.
The incident took place approximately 275 kilometers away from Karachi where 10 bogies from the Hazara Express train crashed. According to the reports, the accident claimed 15 lives and about 50 others sustained injuries.
The train which carried 950 passengers in its economy class and 72 in its air-conditioned standard coach, was en route to Havelian from Karachi at the time of the derailment. The domestic train departing from Karachi was suspended int eh light of the severity of the situation.
The Green Line Train has also been halted at the Nawabshah railway station while the Rehman Baba Express has been stopped at Tando Adam Railway Station.
