India has done something impressive in space. They sent a new mission called Aditya-L1 to watch the Sun. The mission started from a special point in space between the Earth and the Sun. This point lets the satellite stay in one place and watch the Sun without using a lot of fuel.
It’s named after the Hindu god of the Sun, Surya. People all over India were excited about this mission. Before this, India also did a great job by landing near the Moon’s south pole.
The scientists at the Indian Space Research Agency (Isro) are very happy with this new mission, and it will take about 135 days to get to its spot by the Sun.
When it’s there, it will help us learn more about the Sun, but we don’t know exactly how much it cost yet, though it’s estimated to be around $46 million in US dollars.
