In 2026, British holidaymakers can embark on a unique travel experience to Spain’s most popular islands aboard the Airlander 10, a 300ft long hybrid airship known as the “Flying Bum” due to its distinct shape.
Developed by British manufacturer Hybrid Air Vehicle (HAV), these Airships combine aerostatic and aerodynamic lift with diesel-engine propellers for added propulsion. They are set to become the world’s largest aircraft, with dimensions similar to a football pitch in length and standing as tall as six double-decker buses.
The Airlander 10 will transport around 100 passengers to destinations like Majorca, Ibiza, and Menorca while significantly reducing harmful emissions compared to traditional aircraft.
