Rain and Gusty Winds Expected from September 15 to 20

There is a possibility of thunderstorms bringing rain to various sections of the country. Today, much of the country’s plains will see weather that is similar to yesterday, with high temperatures and high humidity.

A few locations in the Potohar region, Northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and the hilly areas adjacent to these regions have a chance of rain with thunderstorms.

It is expected that Rawalpindi and Islamabad will have warm weather during the day, but there is a chance of rain, along with gusty winds and thunder, in the evening and overnight hours. From September 15-20, widespread precipitation, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds, has been forecast by the Meteorological Department.

Thundershowers are forecast for the majority of Punjab, including Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, and Guliyat, and this rainy pattern is expected to persist sporadically. 

Rain, accompanied by gusty winds and thunder, has been forecast for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, by the Meteorological Department. There is a probability that the rivers in the aforementioned regions will experience an increase in the volume of water flowing through them.

The Department of Meteorology has expressed the fear of landslides in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Mansehra due to heavy rains. The Meteorological Department issued an alert to the concerned institutions and said that due to strong winds and gales, there is a risk of damage to weak infrastructure and solar panels.

According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain is also expected in Lucky Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Karak, Karam, Waziristan and South Punjab from September 16 to September 18. 

The Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of reduction in heat intensity due to expected rains, Rajanpur, Musa Khel, Barkhan, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Mirpur Khas, Tharparkar, Khairpur and Umarkot are also likely to receive rain.
