Pakistan Railways has decided to close Shalimar Express running from Lahore to Karachi due to financial crisis. Train stoppage notification will be issued soon.
According to Geo News, the Shalimar Express running from Lahore to Karachi was running at a loss. Shalimar Express daily there was a loss of Rs 20 lakh.
Pakistan Railways has taken the final decision to close the Shalimar Express due to non-receipt of revenue and financial crisis. Shalimar Express was also handed over to the private sector twice.
