In an effort to make the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage more efficient and transparent, there will be a significant shift toward digital processes next year. This initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and was decided upon during a meeting led by a special committee under the Prime Minister’s directive.
The primary goal of this decision is to ensure that pilgrims have access to comprehensive information about all aspects of the pilgrimage and to facilitate quick solutions to any issues or complaints that may arise during the Hajj.
Caretaker IT Minister Dr. Umar Saif chaired the meeting, with Religious Affairs Minister Aneeq Ahmed also present. During the meeting, officials discussed the current Hajj operation system, paving the way for this substantial digital transformation effort.
