Archer Israr ul Haq shattered his national record in the Men’s Recurve 72 Arrow 70m Ranking Round with an impressive score of 634, just short of the required 640 to secure a spot in the Olympic Games. Talented Israr ul Haq expressed his satisfaction with his performance and vowed to enhance his game through hard work. He acknowledged that participating in the Asian Games provided him with valuable learning opportunities and he is determined to improve his performance.
Archer Mohammad Nadeem and Idris Majeed, teammates of Israr ul Haq, also delivered outstanding performances in the Men’s Recurve 72 Arrow 70m Ranking Round. Muhammad Nadeem set a personal best of 596 while Idris Majeed also reached a personal milestone of 594.
The shooting team also produced a commendable performance with Kashmala Talat winning bronze as Pakistan’s first ever female shooter. Kashmala’s accuracy and precision in shooting demonstrated the potential of Pakistani athletes in this discipline.
Kashmala had the chance to explore the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center, which houses a range of top-notch sports facilities, including a stadium, swimming pool, and gymnasiums. The athlete was particularly impressed by the modern infrastructure and the meticulous attention to detail in the design and maintenance of these facilities.

In athletics, Pakistani sprinter Tameen Khan emerged as a star performer, winning the gold medal in the 100 meters in the athletic national championship 2022 and national games 2023. In her first international competition, the Asian Games in Hangzhou, she is looking forward to earning her recognition on the international stage, while also highlighting the potential of Pakistani athletes in track and field events.
