Dubai has once again secured its position as the world’s cleanest city for the third consecutive year, as revealed by the Global Power City Index by Japan’s Mori Memorial Foundation. The commendable achievement was celebrated by Vice-President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who took to Twitter to emphasize the significance of cleanliness as a reflection of civilization, culture, and faith.
In a tweet on Friday, Sheikh Mohammed stated, “Cleanliness is civilization. Cleanliness is culture. Cleanliness is part of faith.” He went on to express his pride in Dubai, labeling it as not just the cleanest city globally but also the safest and most beautiful. With a heartfelt wish for the city’s continued safety, stability, and prosperity, Sheikh Mohammed urged the community to play their part in maintaining Dubai’s exceptional status.
The Global Power City Index, issued by the Mori Memorial Foundation’s Institute for Urban Strategies, evaluates cities based on their overall appeal and magnetism, gauging their ability to attract people, capital, and enterprises from around the world. Dubai’s consistent recognition in this index highlights its status as a global leader in safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal.
