According to AirlineRatings.com, Air New Zealand has recaptured the title of finest airline in the world.
The national carrier reclaims the top spot from Qatar Airways in the 2023 awards announced by the safety and product rating website. Air NZ has now won the award for best airline seven times since 2013.
The judges consider 12 important factors, such as the fleet’s age, customer satisfaction, profitability, investment grade, product options, and employee relations.In second place, Qatar was followed by Etihad Airways, Korean Air, and Singapore Airlines. Air NZ also won best economy class, so this wasn’t their only distinction.

Other category winners in the airlineRatings.com awards include Virgin Australia/Virgin Atlantic for best cabin crew and Qatar for best business class and food. Singapore Airlines received best first class.
Emirates won the awards for best in-flight entertainment and best premium economy, while Qantas won the award for best lounges. Additionally, Jetstar won the prize for the best low-cost airline in Australia and the Pacific.
