President Anjuman-e-Tajiran Karachi said that the markets will be closed at 9 pm in case of uninterrupted supply of electricity to the business centers, besides we reject this decision of the government.
President Anjuman-e-Tajiran Karachi Javed Shams and All Karachi Restaurant Association General Secretary Faizan Rawat also rejected the decision to close the business centers at 8 pm.
On the other hand, Farooq Chaudhry, president of the All Pakistan Restaurants Association, said that the government should immediately withdraw the decision to close the shops at 8 pm.
Farooq Chaudhry said that when markets around the world are closed early, restaurants are allowed till night, in the summer season, the work of restaurants is only night.
He said that it was also agreed that the provinces would ensure the implementation of the decision to close the markets at 8 pm.
Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that the National Economic Council has approved the closure of markets across the country at 8 pm under the energy saving plan.
