This past Sunday was a big day for Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem. He did something amazing – he won a silver medal for Pakistan in the Javelin Throw event at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, Hungary.
He did this by throwing the javelin really far, covering a distance of 87.82 meters. This is a big deal because it’s the first time Pakistan has ever won a medal at the World Athletics Championship. It’s a special moment for Arshad Nadeem and for Pakistan.
