Babar Azam, the captain of the Colombo Strikers in the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023, has decided not to wear a jersey with a logo of a betting company due to his religious beliefs.
Babar Azam informed the team management about his decision, and they have respected his request. Although the LPL franchise has partnered with a betting company, Babar Azam has chosen not to display their logo on his shirt.
The franchise management has honored his request and made the necessary arrangements accordingly.
Babar Azam recently returned to Pakistan after completing the Hajj pilgrimage with his mother and teammates. He has now joined the training camp in Karachi to prepare for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.
