Pakistan Army has successfully rescued two children from the stranded cable car suspended 900 feet (274 meters) above a ravine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The operation is a part of an ongoing rescue effort to save eight individuals, including seven students and a teacher who were on their way to school at 6 am. However, the cable car got stuck midair due to a cable malfunction on a chairlift that crosses over a river in the Allai Jhangray Pashto region.
Two Pakistan Army helicopters were dispatched to the location. Before initiating the operation, these helicopters performed a preliminary survey of the area to assess the situation. The rescue operation is considered highly dangerous due to the unbalanced nature of the cable car and the potential impact of the helicopter’s air turbulence on the lift’s stability.
As per the reports, an army soldier used a helicopter to provide water, food, and essential medicines to the stranded individuals. The rescue plan involves saving the children one by one.
