Lahore– Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced the ‘Chief Minister Internship Program’ aimed at providing a brighter future for the youth, according to ARY News.This new initiative is open to young people between the ages of 18 and 25. They can apply for the internship program by registering on the website www.cmip.punjab.gp.pk. Once selected, these interns will have the opportunity to work in leading private sector institutions, gaining valuable experience.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of this program by saying, “We want to guide the youth toward financial independence in a respectful way. Young people, step up, a bright future is waiting for you.”In the first phase of the program, 6,000 internships will be offered, each lasting six months. During this time, the interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000. The program will prioritize graduates who have completed their degrees in the last two years, giving them a chance to kickstart their careers.Earlier, the Punjab government also launched the Chief Minister Climate Leadership Development Internship Programme as part of the ‘Mera Punjab Smog Free’ initiative.
This program was designed to take meaningful steps toward improving the environment in the province.Under this earlier initiative, young graduates were also offered Rs 25,000 per month to help fight smog in Punjab. The program targeted graduates aged 18 to 25 who had completed their degrees within the last two years.These initiatives reflect the Punjab government’s commitment to both empowering the youth and addressing environmental challenges, paving the way for a more prosperous and sustainable future in the region.
