Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, announced a new program to support minority families during a Diwali celebration in Lahore. She introduced minority cards that will help deserving families across the province. During the ceremony, she expressed her deep respect for minority communities, referring to them as “the crown of my head,” and pledged her commitment to their welfare.
The minority cards are set to launch on December 20, and CM Nawaz also announced a financial gift of Rs 150,000 for each of the 1,400 families in the minority community. This initiative aims to provide essential support to these families during challenging times.
In addition to the minority card announcement, CM Nawaz previously launched the ‘Kisan Card Programme’ in Hafizabad, designed to help small farmers. Under this program, farmers can receive loans of up to Rs 150,000 for each crop season.
The government plans to expand this initiative, increasing the number of Kisan Cards from 500,000 to 750,000. This expansion will significantly enhance support for agricultural growth and assist farmers in improving their livelihoods.
