David Warner’s remarkable achievement now places him in the record books with a total of 1,033 runs across three Cricket World Cups since 2015.
The stage is set for another cricketer to potentially match Warner’s record. Indian opener Rohit Sharma is just 22 runs away from reaching 1,000 runs in Cricket World Cups, and he could equal Warner’s record in India’s match against Afghanistan on October 11.
However, Rohit Sharma was unable to contribute to his run tally in the recent victory over Australia, as he was dismissed for a duck by Josh Hazlewood.
