This was revealed in a Swedish medical study.

According to a study conducted by Uppsala University in Sweden, obese people are more likely to develop cancer, and increasing body weight increases the risk of this deadly disease in women.

The study looked at the relationship between obesity and cancer risk in men and women.

The study discovered that fat accumulation in various parts of the body increases the risk of cancer, but the risk rate may differ between men and women.

The goal of this study, according to the researchers, was to shed light on the relationship between body fat accumulation and cancer, and we discovered that gender, body fat content, and other factors influence the disease risk rate in both sexes.

According to him, the main factor that increases the risk of cancer is the accumulation of fat in various parts of the body.

He went on to say that having more fat around the abdomen and waist increases the risk of developing various types of cancer.

This study examined the data of 500,000 people aged 37 to 73 years.

These people’s health was monitored for an average of 13 years, during which time their body fat content and cancer diagnosis rates were compared.

Obesity increases the risk of almost all types of cancer, according to the findings.

The researchers acknowledged that the study was limited in some ways and that more research in this area is required.

This study’s findings were published in the journal Cell.

Previously, in May 2023, a study from Sweden’s Lund University found that while obesity may or may not harm metabolic health, it does increase the risk of several types of cancer.

According to the study, increasing the amount of fat in the body raises the risk of various types of cancer.

The study evaluated the body weight and metabolic health of nearly 800,000 people.

These people were divided into six groups based on their level of obesity.

According to the findings, harmful types of obesity increase the risk of pancreas, liver, gallbladder, kidney, and gastrointestinal cancers.

These people have a 2.5 to 3 times higher risk of developing liver and kidney cancer than others.

Healthy forms of obesity, on the other hand, increase the risk of kidney, colon, and other types of cancer.

This study’s findings were published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
