Dubai is investing Dh475 million to build 55 new mosques before Ramadan, providing space for over 40,000 worshippers. This project is part of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department’s (IACAD) plan to meet the growing needs of the city’s residents.
To make religious teachings more accessible, 70% of mosques in Dubai will now offer Friday sermons with English translations. This step aims to promote inclusivity and help non-Arabic speakers better understand the messages.
Dubai is also leading in sustainability with innovative mosque designs. The city has opened its first self-sustaining mosque, designed to reduce energy consumption.
Additionally, the UAE’s first 3D-printed mosque is currently under construction and is set to open in 2026. This unique project highlights Dubai’s commitment to combining modern technology with tradition.
