Dubai may soon host the much-anticipated cricket matches between Pakistan and India, as a new proposal aims to resolve the ongoing disagreements between the two cricketing nations.
The plan, introduced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), suggests that both teams play their bilateral matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during ICC tournaments hosted by either country. This arrangement would begin with the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 and continue for the next three years.
The PCB has shared this proposal with both the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Indian cricket authorities, expressing hope for a positive response. They clarified that their request is not about seeking financial support but about earning respect and fostering cooperation.
Negotiations are currently underway to finalize the arrangements for future ICC events, and a decision is expected in the near future. This proposal is seen as an effort to revive the cricketing rivalry between the two nations while addressing the challenges of hosting matches in each other’s countries due to political tensions.
