Elon Musk has introduced a new high-speed underground transportation system called the ‘Dubai Loop’, designed to reduce traffic congestion in Dubai.
He made this announcement at the World Government Summit 2025, describing the project as a “wormhole” that will allow people to travel quickly and efficiently across the city. The Dubai Loop will consist of underground tunnels connecting key areas, offering a safe, fast, and weather-proof mode of transportation.
Omar Al Olama, a UAE government official, expressed strong support for the initiative. He highlighted how this project could significantly improve urban mobility and make transportation more efficient and futuristic in Dubai.
Musk’s Boring Company has already developed similar underground transit systems, including the Las Vegas Loop, which is successfully operating in the United States. The Dubai Loop is expected to bring the same level of innovation and convenience to the UAE.
