Elon Musk seized the opportunity to poke fun at Meta, the parent company of these platforms, with a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The outage affected users globally, with reports pouring in from various parts of the world, indicating a widespread disruption. Users encountered issues ranging from being locked out of their accounts to receiving “change password” messages and difficulty refreshing their feeds. Notably, WhatsApp, another platform owned by Meta, remained unaffected by the outage.
